Earlier this week I announced that Alagad would be offering training sessions on Model-Glue and several related technologies. Simply put, the feedback I received was tremendous. As a result, I’d like to announce that our first off-site training session will be held in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington DC, from February 4th to 7th, 2008.

I'm assuming you mean February 4-7, 2008. Unless you've got a time machine that you're not sharing with the rest of the community.

Greetings -- I have programmed in ColdFusion since the late 90's, but I've never moved into the OOP world. Right now I still understand, love, and use Fusebox 3; I have fiddled with some CFCs but do not use them regularly. I realize the MVC model is supposed to be a best practice and the Model Glue concept makes a lot of sense to me. However, the Model Glue tutorials on the Web fall apart when example code does not work and I can't figure out what's going wrong. I'd love to take an intensive course on Model Glue, but I know I'd be a real beginner -- would this be the course for someone like me, or would I be expected to be a littler further along to take this?

@David - It's hard to say. Realistically, to use Model-Glue or MVC Fusebox or a lot of the modern tools and techniques you'll need to use CFCs.
That said, the class starts out with a crash course on CFCs and, though I don't harp on it, Object Oriented Programming with CFCs.
The honest fact of the matter is that you'll be looking at a steep learning curve after the class.
For what it's worth, it's my opinion that it take a couple years of effort to become truly comfortable with OOP. And, it's hard to get into it without having someone helping you. If nothing else, if you take the class, you might get that jump start that will help you move into OOP.
